7.3.B. - Page 1
REPORT
To the Honorable Mayor and City Council
From the City Manager
November 17, 2014
SUBJECT
CEDA (Figtree) PACE Program Additional Implementation Documents
RECOMMENDATION
1. Adopt a Resolution Approving Associate Membership by the City of Redwood City in
the California Enterprise Development Authority.
2. Authorize City Manager to Execute Agreement Relating to Associate Membership of
the City of Redwood City in the California Enterprise Development Authority and
Authorizing City Manager to Execute Any Additional Related Documents To Implement
City's Participation in CEDA Program.
BACKGROUND
On September 22, 2014, the City Council adopted resolutions to authorize joining the
HERO and Figtree PACE programs and executing implementation documents for the
programs. Two additional documents for implementation of the Figtree PACE program
were inadvertently omitted from the item at that time.
ANALYSIS
The additional documents to effectuate the City Council's direction to participate in the
Figtree PACE program include: 1) a Resolution Approving Associate Membership by
the City of Redwood City in the California Enterprise Development Authority (CEDA),
the Joint Powers Authority implementing the Figtree program, and authorizing and
directing the City Manager to execute the agreement and 2) the Associate Membership
Agreement itself. These items are now provided to Council for approval.
ALTERNATIVES
City Council could elect not to authorize the execution of the associate membership
agreement and thus not participate in the Figtree PACE program.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no negative fiscal impact to the City's general fund incurred by approving
associate membership in CEDA and authorizing the execution of the Associate
Membership Agreement.
