EXHIBIT "A" SCOPE OF SERVICES The consultant shall provide the following Scope of Services described herein as the minimum necessary to meet the city's objectives. The Consultant shall prepare base maps for Phase I, Phase II of the proposed watermain replacement capital improvement projects and Phase 2A of the new recycled water line project to include the following: 1. Ground Survey: Topographic survey shall include all physical features within the project limit and project scope listed below, include also any grade breaks or man made improvements not listed: a. Curb & gutter, sidewalks, driveways, trees within the right of way with minimum diameter 6-inches at breast height and street facing fences within the right of way. b. Manholes, water valve boxes, water meter boxes, anode boxes, gas valve boxes, traffic signal boxes, street light boxes, monuments, fire hydrants, catch basins, drain inlets, sewer cleanouts and utility vaults, etc.. City will provide hard copy block book drawings to be used in conjunction with the surveyed features stated in this section to determine alignment of underground utilities. c. Electrical poles, telephone poles, cable TV lines, gas lines, loop detectors, traffic sign posts and street lights. d. Manholes rim and invert elevations, manhole pipe inverts and top of pipe, pipe diameters, drain inlets bottom, drain inlet pipe inverts and top of pipe and catch basin grate elevation. e. Tax assessors lot lines, right-of-way lines and house addresses (approximate, from City Block Books and County Recorder/Maps office), water services, gas services and sewer laterals. 2. Consultant shall complete base map shall be completed in AUTOCAD 2004 version at a scale of 1"=20'. Text information and other entities shall be readable at this scale when plotted on a plan and profile sheet. Final plotted text height shall be 0.1". 3. Consultant shall set center line stations at every 100 feet on tangent and 25 feet stations on curves. Indicate the following items spot elevations at each 100 foot station: center line, lip of gutter or edge of pavement, face of curb at flow line, back of curb, sidewalk, planting strip or landscape area and right-of-way line or property line. 4. Consultant shall extend the base map topographic survey 100 feet, measured from the street centerline, beyond street intersections in all directions. Please see attached location maps.
