1. Scope of Work. Consultant wiil work in collaboration with the AOD Abuse <br /> Prevention Partnership ("PP") to build program capacity in youth serving and mentoring, <br /> and to increase the number of youth involved in positive activities and supportive <br /> youth/adult relationships. <br /> Specific tasks will include: <br /> • Collect data/evaluations from local merchants/servers/owners and research <br /> initiatives started in other communities to assist in the research and development <br /> of alternatives to fines and sentencing for merchants cited for selling to <br /> underage/intoxicated buyers, and develop other strategies and policies policies <br /> to further improve responsible alcohol beverage services practices; <br /> • Perform follow-ups to decoy operations performed by Redwood City law <br /> enforcement, and offer and coordinate Responsible Beverage Service Trainings <br /> (RBST)to non-compliant merchants; <br /> • Recruit at least 10 former youth leaders to collect data on their leaming and <br /> leadership experiences, projecUactivities they engaged in, and determine how <br /> their experiences have influenced their: 1) lives, 2) healthy or non-healthy <br /> choices related to alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, and 3) community <br /> connectedness. Data collected shall include why the youth joined RWC PP and <br /> recommendations to engage other community youth with RWC PP projects and <br /> activities; and <br /> • Support all Prevention Partnership partner organizations in improving their efforts <br /> through technical assistance and research/evaluation. <br /> 2. Standard of Performance. While performing the Services, Consultant will <br /> exercise the reasonable professional care and skill customarily exercised by reputable <br /> members of Consultant's profession practicing in the urban Northern Califomia Area, <br /> and will use reasonable diligence and best judgment while exercising its professional <br /> skill and expertise. <br /> 3. Term.
