Additionally it was felt that the swimming pools could be operated <br /> through the sumner on a reduced sche�ule. Sumner drop-in activities <br /> would be eliminated as well as subsidized sports programs. Adult <br /> sports programs would have to operate their own leagues and it is <br /> unlikely that fields could be maintained in an acceptable playing <br /> condition without voiunteer assistance. The maintenance of school <br /> baseball facilities would be eliminated and the youth leagues would <br /> be on their own. <br /> With regard to CETA personnel , it is understood that they would be <br /> reduced commensurate with the reduction of full time funded personnel . <br /> After considerable discussion, it was the concensus of the Commission <br /> that the proposed budget, resultant from the reductions necessitated <br /> by the Jarvis-Gann Amendment, would address the basic priorities for <br /> continuing limited park and recreation services. <br /> There being no further discussion, the meeting was adjourned at 9:12 p.m. <br />
