Weeks reminded the Commission that the Annual Youth in Government Day <br /> would be held Wednesday , April 7 , Information regarding who would be involved , <br /> the activities , and specific timing would be forthcoming . He encouraged all <br /> commissioners who were able to attend an orientation meeting which would be <br /> held in the Department beginning at 9 : 00 A . M . This would allow the Commissioners <br /> a chance to talk with the students prior to attending the mock Council meeting . <br /> REPORTS <br /> REPORT ITEM 1 . Budget Committee Report <br /> Mr . Weeks reported that the Capital Improvement Program for Fiscal Year 1976 -77 <br /> had been submitted in compliance with the priorities as recommended by the <br /> Commission . Mr . Weeks indicated that budget hearings with respect to the <br /> Capital Improvement Program would probably not be held until early April . <br /> MOTION : Commissioner Wilson moved to accept the Budget <br /> Committee Report seconded by Commissioner Rollins . <br /> The motion passed unanimously by voice vote . <br /> REPORT ITEM 2 . Operational Policy Committee Report <br /> MOTION : Commissioner Rollins moved to accept the Operational <br /> Policy Committee Report , seconded by Commissioner <br /> Schlesinger . The motion carried unanimously by <br /> voice vote . <br /> REPORT ITEM 3 . Monthly Reports <br /> A . DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br /> Mr . Weeks indicated that he had been contacted by the Bay Conservation and <br /> Development Commission with respect to Redwood Shores park development , and <br /> that he and the Director of Public Works would be attending an informal , <br /> administrative hearing regarding this subject . He further indicated that he <br /> anticipated no problems with BCDC and that the preliminary plans should be <br /> before the City Council by March 22 . <br /> Mr . Weeks also reported that 17 bids have been received for the Belmont <br /> Elementary School site project , and that the low bid had been almost half of <br /> the engineer ' s estimate .
