Historic Landmark Designation Process <br /> o Research, evaluation and preparation of a DPR 523 form by a qualified <br /> historian. Designation shall be based on the following criteria: <br /> A. It exemplifies or reflects special elements of the City's cultural, <br /> aesthetic or architectural history; or <br /> B. It is identified with persons or events significant in local, State or <br /> national history; or <br /> C. It embodies distinctive characteristics of a style, type, period or <br /> method of construction, or is a valuable example of the use of <br /> indigenous materials or craftsmanship; or <br /> D. It is representative of the notable work of a builder, designer or <br /> architect. <br /> o Historic Resources Advisory Committee to hold a meeting and make a <br /> recommendation to the Planning Commission. <br /> o Planning Commission to hold a public hearing and make a <br /> recommendation to the City Council. <br /> o City Council to hold a public hearing and take final action. <br />
