Include design,materials,condition,alterations,size,setting,and boundaries) This single-family house is located on the corner of Edgewood Road at Melrose Place. The house faces south and rests on a perimeter foundation. It is wood-framed, stucco-clad with an irregular-shaped plan. The roof is flat with parapets with red clay tile shed roofs. The house reads as two,2-story wings connected by a 1'/2 story entrance. The entrance and has a porch with a flattened arched and shed red tile roof. The entrance door is wood and is flanked by a large, single-pane window on each side. The half story above the entrance has three small vents covered with decorative grills. The left(west)wing is L-shaped and has a paired window and French door with a railing on the first floor. The second floor has an arched paired window and two vents covered by decorative grills.The right(east)wing is also L-shaped and has a one and one-half story section with a swing-out window,a 14 round turret staircase with window,and a 2'/2 story end section. The ground level of the east wing has two arched windows. The second story has two arched,swing-out windows. The facade terminates with paired vents covered with decorative grills. The north side of the building faces the backyard and is a complex of projecting and recessing sections,flat roofs of varying heights, and three stucco clad chimneys. An addition was made to the rear and north part of the house. All windows are wood framed,with arched tops,and appear to be original, except for a wood picture window and wood patio door on the ground floor in the rear of the right-hand wing.
