PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT MONTHLY REPORT DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT DECEMBER 1976 Redwood Shores Park Development The construction work of Dolphin Parks I , II , and III and for the first phase of Marlin II Park is now underway . The site preparation has been completed and the rough grading for the area is nearly finished . The installation of the irrigation systems will follow the grading and should be underway the early part of January . Thus far , the project continues to be on schedule and is approaching 12% completion . Palm Park The City has now issued final acceptance for the construction work for the first phase of Palm Park . The park is now being maintained by the Park Division Grounds Maintenance personnel . The trees which have been ordered for the Redwood City Rotary Club Public Service Project in the park have not as yet been received . Final arrange- ments will be made with the club to proceed with the planting of these trees as soon as possible following their delivery , pending acceptable weather conditions . Mezes Park The final seeding of the turf area together with the complete landscaping has now been completed at Mezes Park , with the exception of minor items such as the marking of the multi - purpose courts , painting of the rest- room structure , final adjustment of restroom fixtures and some corrective work on the picnic tables . The construction work for Phase II of Mezes Park is complete . It is anticipated that the park will be ready for final inspection the early part of January 1977 . Red Morton Park The pre- fabricated restroom for Red Morton Park has now been received and installed south of the softball diamonds . The building is being finished with wood siding and shingle roof which will upgrade its appearance con - siderably . The installation of the restroom fixtures together with the painting of the structure and utility hookups is all that remains for the completion of this project . - 6 -
