Motion carried . <br /> Mrs . Poncia and Mr . Weeks will meet with the Downtown Merchants <br /> and the City to present the plan . <br /> AGENDA ITEM 2 - Presentation of Pro • osed Bicentennial Mural : <br /> No one appeared for the Latin-American Spanish-Speaking Organi - <br /> zation ( LASSO ) to present the proposal . <br /> REPORTS : <br /> 1 . Library Mural : <br /> Alice Kennedy said she had spoken to Mr . Heidsick at Canada <br /> College , who said a student group would be assigned to the <br /> Library Mural project . They will be in touch with Mr . Voll - <br /> mayer , who will show them the space and give them an idea <br /> of what might be done . Designs will be presented to the <br /> Commission . At that time , a prospective calendar can be <br /> developed . Funds will need to be provided for materials . <br /> 2 . Sculpture -Fountain : <br /> Mrs . Poncia had nothing further to report from the Downtown <br /> Merchants ' Association regarding the sculpture - fountain . <br /> Mr . Weeks said he had talked with Mr . Pusich , Director of <br /> Public Works , who said bids have now been received on pumping <br /> equipment . They are still awaiting a contractor ' s bid on <br /> the setting for the sculpture and have been in touch with <br /> Mr . Nissen . The plan may have to be scaled down considerably <br /> to be economically feasible . <br /> OTHER : <br /> 1 . Mr . Weeks said Sally Hartman is awaiting further participation <br /> as our representative on the San Mateo County Arts Council ' s <br /> County Spirit Multicultural Task Force . <br />
