, r <br /> II I. <br /> CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION <br /> Minutes of Meeting <br /> February 5 , 1977 <br /> Chairman Marcia Poncia opened the meeting at 7 : 40 , p .m . , in <br /> the Conference Room of the Community Activities Building , <br /> 1400 Roosevelt Avenue , Redwood City. <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT : Marcia Poncia , Chairman ; Zelda <br /> Bergman , Nicole McKay , Kay Mears , <br /> Alice Kennedy , and John Krueger <br /> STAFF PRESENT Max Weeks , Director of Parks & <br /> Recreation ; and Mayfred Dawson , <br /> Recording Secretary <br /> MOTION : The motion was made by Commissioner Krueger , seconded <br /> by Commissioner McKay , that the minutes of the meeting <br /> of January 6 be approved as submitted ° <br /> CORRESPONDENCE : An invitation to attend a reception on <br /> February 6 by the San Mateo County Arts Council at the Sun- <br /> dance Gallery , the San Mateo Arts Council Calendar , and a <br /> report from the Peninsula Celebration Association regarding <br /> the Bicentennial activities . <br /> AGENDA ITEM 1 Subjects Proposed for Discussion at Joint <br /> Meeting with the Parks & Recreation Commission on March 3 : <br /> 1 , Current and proposed projects for both Commissions <br /> 2 . Possible areas for joint effort <br /> AGENDA ITEM 2 - Scheduling of Calendar of Events : <br /> Mrs . Kennedy prebented the Redwood City Activities Calendar . <br /> Commission members were pleased with the calendar and expressed <br /> their appreciation of Mrs . Kennedy ' s efforts in developing it. <br /> Commissioner Bergman was excused from the meeting at 8 : 30 , p . m. <br /> AGENDA ITEM 3 . Scheduling: of Future Events : <br /> The Quilting Show has been scheduled for June 18 and 19 . <br /> REPORTS : <br /> 1 . Commissioner Bergman reported that the committee has <br /> decided to hold the Opera Lunch Program on the blocked - <br /> off section of Hamilton Avenue . This was agreeable <br /> to the Commission . Mr . Weeks will clear the dates <br /> with the San Mateo County Arts Council , probably to <br /> be in late spring . It was decided to call the pro - <br /> gram " Brown Bag Opera " <br />
