EXHIBIT"A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> 1. What the Redwood City Police Activities League (PAL) will provide: <br /> A. After school sports and youth programs: Provide year-round sports <br /> programs for 2�,a through 8a,grades in the Redwood City School district. <br /> Through collaboration with other organizations provide an after school <br /> education and recreation program. <br /> B. Toy drive: Coordinate an annual holiday toy drive in collaboration with <br /> the Redwood City Police and Fire Departments to provide for the <br /> donation and delivery of toys and books to disadvantaged youth in the <br /> community. <br /> C. Annual report: PAL will provide an annual report describing how <br /> Redwood City residents and youth were served by these programs. <br /> PAL will work with the Redwood City Chief of Police and/or designee <br /> on a regular basis to discuss the quality and/or level of services <br /> provided. <br /> II. What the City of Redwood City will provide: <br /> A. Funding in the total amount of $160,000 to support after school sports <br /> and youth programs for Fiscal Years 2014/2015 and 2015/2016. <br /> III. Agreement by both parties, in concept: <br /> Both PAL and the City recognize that this is a program that will need to be <br /> reviewed annually to evaluate its effectiveness. Changes may be made if <br /> warranted by the City and/or community needs. If it appears that conditions <br /> under which this Agreement was executed have changed or are no longer <br /> applicable, practical, or suited to the general purposes stated in the Agreement, <br /> PAL will confer with the City to reach a mutually acceptable mod�cation of its <br /> scope. <br /> REV:09-18-14 MLG <br /> Page 6 of 6 <br /> ATTY/AGR.2014.184/Redwood City Police Activities League <br />
