IXHIBIT"A" SCOPE OF SERVICES Topographic Survey and Base Mapping Consultant shall hire a third party utility locator to perform underground utility location within the public rights of way of Middlefieid Road and Cedar Street abutting 1606 Middlefield Road. Consultant shall perform a topographic and site survey of the property located at 1606 Middlefield Road and extend the survey work to the centerline of Middlefield Road and Cedar Street, and at least five feet into the adjoining property owned by the Ciry of Redwood City, Jardin de Ninos Park. The site survey will identify and include the utilities identified and marked by the subcontractor. The site survey shall be of sufficient detail to identify key site features including all building corners, paved surfaces (including sidewalks, curb and gutter, driveways, and building pads), trees 6" in diameter and greater, and fences. Consultant shall collect sufficient site topographic information to describe the elevation of the property. All topographic information shall be tied to the City of Redwood City's bench mark system and any found local monuments. Consultant shall prepare a topographic map of the property using information gathered in the field and other information relating to the property, such as property lines and easements as identified in the preliminary title report. Prior to submittal of the topographic map, Consultant shall make a field visit to verify that pertinent and relevant information is included in the final map. Consultant shall provide City three 24"x 36" bond copies of the map at a scale of no less than 1"=20' horizontal and showing contours, as appropriate at no less than one-foot increments. Consultant shall also provide one electronic version of the survey in the most recent version of Autocad. Consultant shall complete all work within two weeks of a written Notice to Proceed. Cost for this work shall not exceed$6,000. Payment shall be on a time and materials basis, according to the attached rate schedule. Subconsultant fees shall be limited to$1,600 without prior authorization by City. Consultant mark up of 10% may be added to all subconsultant charges.
