Because Waodside.Road is a State facility (SR 84), <br /> the project must comply wikh Galtrans local assistance environmentaf procedures, including <br /> requirements of 5ection 106 af the National Historic Preservatian Act, NEPA, CEQA, and the �altrans <br /> 2414 �irst Amended Programmptic Agreement Among The federal Highway Administrqtion, the <br /> Advisory Councf! on Historic Preservaiion, the California 5tate NistorJc Preservatian O�cer, and the <br /> California Department of Transpartation Regarding Compliance Wiih Section 1 p6 r�f the Nationa!Historic <br /> Preservatian Act, as �t Pertains to the Administration of the Federat-Aid Nighway Program in California. <br /> Ta meet NEPA requirements, consultant �hall prepare an Area of Potential Effects (APE} map and <br /> conduct tasks rteeded to prepare an Archaeo�logical Survey R�port (ASR), and Historic Rraperty Survey <br /> Report(HPSR). Cansultant rnay also prepare a Historical Resources Evaluation Report(F�RER)should one <br /> be necessary as an aptional task. <br /> Services <br /> TASK A.PREPARE APE,HPSFt,and ASR <br /> Consultant will prepare an APE rnap to Caltrans standards and�onduct the foUowing research and field <br /> inves#igatian tasks. <br /> • A records search will be conducted at the Northwest I'nformation Center o#the Califarnia �ff�ce <br /> of Historic Preservation's California Historical Resources Information System. A literature review <br /> of archaeological, ethnographic, historical, and enviranmental publications and maps at <br /> histarical archives and the Consultant c�ffice will also be done.l'he retords search and literature <br /> review will identlfy previously recorded ar otherwise known cultural resources and previous <br /> cultural resource studies of ar adjacent to the APE. <br /> + A review of cultural resource inventories to identify cultural res�urces that may be listed within <br /> or adjacent ta the APE. Relevant listings are the Califarnia Jnventory of Histaric Resaurces, Ffve <br /> Views:An Ethnic 5ites Survey for California, Californiq Histo�ical Landmdrks, Califarnia Points af <br /> Histarica/ Interest, Nationai Historic Landmarks, and the airectary of Properties in the Historic <br /> Property Data File which contains the listings of the National Register of Historic Places and the <br /> Califarnia Register of Nistorical Resourees. If available, appropriate City listings will be reviewed. <br /> * Consultant will contact the Native American Heritage Commission in Sacramento fvr(1}a review <br /> of the Sacred Lands File to determine if the APE contains any listed sites, and (2� a list af Native <br /> Arrterican contacts who may have concerns about the APE.
