EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br /> Consultant will provide modified services related to environmental and cultural resources review <br /> for the Middlefield Road/Woodside Road intersection improvements as outlined below. <br /> Task B- Preparation of a Historical Resources Evaluation Report ($10,175.00) <br /> Eliminate services and fee associated with Task B of the original Agreement <br /> Task C - Consultant will provide additional services to conduct an Extended $37,461.00 <br /> Phase I (XPI) study to identify archaeological cultural resources that might be <br /> affected by excavation or grading around the Middlefield/Woodside intersection. <br /> The XPI study will be done to address requirements of Section 106 of the National <br /> Historic Preservation Act and the Caltrans 2014 First Amended Programmatic <br /> Agreement. Task C includes the following services: <br /> 1. Preparation of a brief XPI Proposal (work plar� <br /> 2. Archaeological field excavation <br /> 3. Preparation of a report of findings <br /> For item 1, Consultant will prepare an XPI Proposal to outline the methods to be <br /> used during the study and submit the proposal to the City and Caltrans for review <br /> and approval. For items 2 and 3, Consultant will retain AECOM to provide <br /> geoarchaeological consulting services. (The AECOM subconsultant budget is <br /> $27,330.00.) AECOM will provide the geoarchaeological technical expertise <br /> needed to conduct XPI studies to Caltrans standards. Following Caltrans approval <br /> of the XPI Proposal, AECOM will conduct the fieldwork, which will consist of <br /> geotechnical coring to the project's proposed depths at seven locations. The cores <br /> will be analyzed by AECOM for evidence of archaeological cultural resources and <br /> buried soil horizons. AECOM will prepare a report of findings for review and <br /> approval by the City and Caltrans. The AECOM report will be appended to an XPI <br /> Report of Findings prepared by Consultant. If required by Caltrans, Consultant will <br /> contract with a Native American representaive to monitor the XPI fieldwork. <br /> Assumptions: <br /> • AECOM will obtain the Caltrans encroachmert permit needed to conduct the <br /> fieldwork. <br /> • Consultant will spend at total of 8 ho�,rs responding to comments on the XPI <br /> Proposal and Report of Findings. <br /> • AECOM will spend a total of 8 hours respondirp to comments on the report of <br /> findings. <br /> • If the XPI study identifies archaeologic�i cultural resources, Caltrans may <br /> require additional cultural resources studies that are not included in this scope <br /> of work.
