7.1.C. - Page 22 <br /> EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> CONSULTANT shall provide professional civil and transportation engineering services <br /> to assist the City's Community Development Department with transportation projects on <br /> an as-needed basis. <br /> The scope of services includes, but is not limited to the following potential activities: <br /> * Redwood City Safe Routes to School Project <br /> o Manage project design <br /> o Review Safe Routes to School walking audits, school-related community <br /> requests, and grant applications <br /> o Coordinate with City departments, individual schools, the school district <br /> and their neighbors as appropriate in finalizing the project scope <br /> o Complete the project plans, specifications, and estimates <br /> o Complete project reporting as required by funding agencies <br /> o Evaluate, design, and draft work orders for signal modifications at identified <br /> intersections, such as the addition of pedestrian signals, audible pedestrian <br /> signals or emergency vehicle preemption systems <br /> • Manage various small transportation planning and engineering projects as <br /> directed by the CITY's Senior Transportation Coordinator. <br /> TIME SCHEDULE <br /> The schedule for the work shall be on an as-needed basis. Upon request by the CITY, <br /> CONSULTANT shall prepare a specific task order outlining the CONSULTANT roles <br /> and responsibilities for the identified task as well as the task budget within one (1) week <br /> of the request. Concurrence between the CITY and CONSULTANT on the task activity <br /> (ies) and budget shall be memorialized via email or letter prior to CONSULTANT <br /> starting work on the task. <br /> PAYMENT TERMS <br /> CONSULTANT shall charge the standard hourly rates for services as listed in the fee <br /> schedule below.
