�����IW�� <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> BETWEEN THE CITY OF REQWOOD CITY <br /> AN'D <br /> THE SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRIGT <br /> FQR SCHCIOL RESOURCE t�FFICER PROGRAM <br /> This Agreement is made and entered into this�day ofi 20�� <br /> by and befinreen the Ci#y af Redwood City ("City") and the oia llnio High <br /> School Distric# ("District") (coflectively, the "Parties"). <br /> RECITALS <br /> This Agreement is entered into with reference to the following facts and <br /> circumstances: <br /> A. Since the year 2000, the Redwood City Police Department has provided a <br /> School Resource Officer �"SRO") a# Sequoia High School. The SRO is inv+�lved in a <br /> variety af activities that enhance safety on campus and provide a positive polise <br /> pr+�sence, increasing the Pokice Department's ability to serve the needs of the entire <br /> Redwood City community. <br /> B. The partnership between Sequ+oia High School and the Police Departrnent <br /> is an important part of on-going efforts to reach ou# to the youth in the community and <br /> establish strong rela#ionships with carnmunity members, <br /> C. Sequoia Union High Sehool District agrees to partially fund the Schoal <br /> Resource Officer salary during the nine months when the high school is in session. The. <br /> Qis#rict has requested 40 hours per week of SR� services at Sequoia High School fior <br /> the 2Q14-15 school year (July 1, 2014 -June 30, 2015). <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, #or and in consideration of the collabarative agreements <br /> herein contained, the sufficiency of whieh are hereby acknowledged, the Parties hereto. <br /> agree as fallows: <br /> 1. Term and Termination. The term of this Agreement shall be fvr a period <br /> beginning on July 1, 2014 and ending June 3�, 2015. <br /> 2. Obfis�ation of the Gitv. During the term of this Agreement, City hereby <br /> covenants and agrees to the following: <br /> A. The City agrees to provide a SRfJ for Sequoia High School to <br /> address safiety issues as described below. <br /> i.
