EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> CONSULTANT shall provide professional civil engineering and inspection services to <br /> assist the City's Community Development Department with the construction of <br /> transportation and paving projects on an as-needed basis. <br /> The scope of services includes, but is not limited to, the following activities: <br /> • Construction management <br /> o Coordination with design staff as required <br /> o Conduct regular meetings with contractor to discuss job-site issues, <br /> coordination, project budget, and project schedule <br /> o Provide a high-level of communication with the City's project manager and <br /> updated work schedules on a biweekly basis <br /> o Notify City's project manager of any potential problems and conditions <br /> which could result in delays and/or change order requests <br /> o Review and make recommendations to City's project manager regarding <br /> change order requests, negotiate contract change orders, and related <br /> correspondence <br /> o Answer calls and emails from the public and respond within 24 hours; <br /> respond in writing within 3 working days to letters received from the public <br /> o Ensure appropriate communication between contractor and the public <br /> o Maintain project files and records and deliver them to City's project <br /> manager upon completion of the project <br /> o Review contractor progress payment requests <br /> o PerForm a final review of the work with the City and compile a punch list <br /> for the contractor <br /> o Review final quantities and payments and obtain redline as-built plans <br /> from the contractor <br /> o Follow all applicable requirements for projects with state and federal <br /> funding, as outlined in the most recent version of the Caltrans Local <br /> Assistance Procedures Manual <br /> • Construction inspection - perform construction observation and inspection <br /> services on behalf of the City, including <br /> o Inspection — ensure that construction work complies with the project <br /> specifications and that the work is completed in a timely fashion and within <br /> schedule <br /> o Complete required labor interviews, materials and equipment <br /> documentation <br /> o Construction coordination <br /> o Coordination of materials testing with City's on-call testing contractor <br /> Potential projects include the following: <br /> • Whipple Overlay Project <br /> • Middlefield/Woodside Road Intersection Improvement Project <br /> REV:01-16-15 VR <br /> ATN/AGR.2015.006/BEELLECCI&ASSOCIATES, INC. <br /> Page 9 of 10 <br />
