Invocation - Pastor Dennis Logie, Sequoia Christian Church <br />Proclamation — Recognizing San Mateo County History Museum (207) <br />Jeri Joseph received the proclamation read by Mayor Ira, thanking the Council <br />for the support of the museum and inviting the community to visit the museum <br />on Hamilton Way. She stated that there are adult programs and children's <br />programs. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR — CITY COUNCIL AND <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />Hubert J. Morel - Seytoux sought endorsement of Senate Bill 921, the Health Care for <br />all Californians Act, authored by Senator Sheila Kuehl. He gave background <br />information on the current status of health care, stating that under SB 921, all <br />Californians would have health insurance coverage with a comprehensive package of <br />benefits, including prescription drugs, emphasis on preventive care, with one standard <br />of quality care instead of the current two tier system. He further detailed his specific <br />points. He requested that Council place the request for endorsement of SB 921 on a <br />future agenda of the City Council. <br />Council Member Howard requested and Mayor Ira asked that staff research through <br />the League of California Cities SB 921. <br />M/S Ruskin /Hartnett to waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances <br />by title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items. <br />5.1 Section - Motions <br />A.
