7.1.C. - Page 7 <br /> Prepares reports and provides statistical support documentation, using spatial analysis, <br /> to inform management of asset conditions and data inconsistencies. <br /> Conducts research and provides recommendations on modifying procedures and <br /> developing workable solutions for managing GIS data problems. <br /> Performs related duties as assigned. <br /> JOB RELATED AND ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS <br /> Knowledge of: <br /> Current principles, practices, terminology, and trends in Geographic <br /> Information Systems usage and modern land based mapping application theory. <br /> ESRI Arc suite of GIS software products, including ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcCatalog, and <br /> Spatial Analyst. <br /> Relational database principles, geo-database design, AutoCAD, MapGuide, <br /> Illustrator, and SQL. <br /> Basic principles and practices of civil engineering as performed by a paraprofessional <br /> engineering position. <br /> Modern office equipment including proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as <br /> Word, Excel and Access. <br /> Ability to: <br /> Understand basic programming in Python and Visual Basic Utilize advanced mapping <br /> techniques, such as data driven pages and feature link annotation. <br /> Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; identify, <br /> analyze, evaluate, diagnose, and solve system problems. <br /> Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. <br /> Experience and Education: <br /> Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required <br /> knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
