7.1.C. - Page 12 <br /> Establish, maintain, and foster positive and harmonious working relationships with those <br /> contacted in the course of work. <br /> Skill to: <br /> Use modern evidence and property equipment and technology. <br /> Operate a motor vehicle safely. <br /> Experience and Training Guidelines: <br /> Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required <br /> knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities <br /> would be: <br /> Experience: <br /> Three years of experience performing evidence collection and processing, <br /> including fingerprint identification and crime scene investigation, property handling <br /> duties, and managing a property room. Experience supervising or coordinating the <br /> work of other staff is highly desirable. <br /> Education: <br /> Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade and completion of (2) years of <br /> course work from an accredited college or university (equivalent to 60 semester <br /> units or 90 quarter unites)with major course work in criminal justice, administration <br /> of justice, evidence management, evidence collection/processing, or police <br /> science. <br /> LICENSE AND CERTIFICATE <br /> Possession of a valid California Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record. <br /> SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> Successful completion of an extensive background investigation is required prior to <br /> appointment. <br /> Essential duties require the following physical abilities and work environment: <br /> Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, squat, stoop, reach, crawl, twist, climb, and lift 50 <br /> lbs.; exposure to cold, heat, outdoors, dust, and biological and hazardous materials. <br /> Ability to work occasional hours during evenings and weekends is required. <br /> ATTY/RES0.3058/CC RESO AMENDING CITIY CLASSIFICATION GIS TECHNICIAN <br /> REV:02-11-15 MLG <br /> Page 9 of 9 <br />
