City Council Committee Reports <br /> Mayor Gee announced that Council Member Aguirre got reappointed to the MTC <br /> (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) at the Council of Cities Dinner in Redwood <br /> City. Mayor Gee said that last Friday he attended the Safe Route to Schools program <br /> at Hoover School and he also thanked Aaron Aknin, Community Development Director, <br /> for his support and the support his staff provided at the community meeting with the <br /> owners of the two mobile parks in Redwood City. <br /> Mayor Gee showed a video about traffic safety (available online at: <br /> http://youtu.be/OOnOSP-Ama8 ). Mayor Gee thanked the team who prepared the video <br /> primarily from City Manager's and Police Departments. <br /> C. City Manager (Oral) Update <br /> Dr. Bell provided a brief update on the recent storm and its impacts. He said that staff <br /> was at the mobile parks over the week. He thanked the Public Works Department staff. <br /> D. City Attorney Report from Closed Session <br /> Ms. Thompson reported on the four Closed Session and said there was a typographical <br /> error on the case number on the Alanna Andrus item and the matter is going to trial on <br /> February 17th. The case on the Cory Narog item will go to trial on May 4th and the <br /> case on James Somers will go to trial in March. She said that there is another one on <br /> the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) that is going to trial regarding wireless <br /> facilities. Mayor Gee noted that this is a matter of local control. <br /> 11.
