413 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 7415 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICA- <br /> TIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF DOWNTOWN STREET <br /> FURNITURE FOR THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; AND <br /> AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO CALL FOR BIDS THEREFOR <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 7416 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICA- <br /> TIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF MARINA PARK RESTROOMS <br /> (REDWOOD SHORES) IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; AND <br /> AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO CALL FOR BIDS THEREFOR <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 7417 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICA- <br /> TIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF RESIDENTIAL STREET <br /> LIGHTING IN A PORTION OF MARLIN SUBDIVISION NO. 1 <br /> AND MARLIN SUBDIVISION NO. 4 IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY; AND AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO CALL FOR BIDS <br /> THEREFOR <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 7418 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICA- <br /> TIONS FOR THE DOWNTOWN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PHASE <br /> III - UNIT 1, AND PHASE IV - UNIT 1 - BROADWAY <br /> (JWINSLOW STREET TO JEFFERSON AVENUE) AND BROADWAY <br /> EFFERSON AVENUE TO MAIN STREET) - IN THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY; AND AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO CALL <br /> FOR BIDS THEREFOR <br /> The resolutions were adopted unanimously by roll call <br /> vote . <br /> (The Council recessed from 8 :40 to 8 :46 p.m. ) <br /> Report on request of Airport Land Use Commission <br /> re opposition to AB 1492 <br /> City Manager Fales referred to his report of May 30, 1975 <br /> regarding the request of Councilman Norris who is the <br /> City' s representative on the ALUC. <br /> Councilman Norris described the Commission' s objections <br /> to AB 1492 which would reduce from 4/5 to a majority the <br /> vote by the governing body of a public agency required <br /> to overrule a decision by an airport land use commission. <br /> Discussion followed concerning the unregional nature of <br /> the Assembly bill and the desirability of continuing as <br /> at present. <br /> MOTION : Councilman Henderson moved, seconded by Council- <br /> man Rhodes, to express the Council ' s opposition forthwith <br /> to the Assembly Committee on Local Go 7ernment and to <br /> Assemblyman Wornum, the author of AB 1492 . <br /> It was pointed out that the Local Government Committee is <br /> expected to hear AB 1492 on June 3, 1975, and Councilman <br /> Norris advised that while he cannot notify the Committee <br /> immediately of Council opposition to the bill, he will <br /> time arrange to have Larry Nathan of the County Planning <br /> Center do so at once . <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote . <br /> (MINUTE ORDER NO. 75-101) <br /> -5- <br /> Reg.Mtg. <br /> 6/2/75 <br />
