The initial effort is funded under HCDA to <br /> provide such assistance to start a self-help program <br /> before houses deteriorate, to , the point of having to be <br /> torn down. The program will operate out of the Planning <br /> and Building Departments, and it is hoped to use one <br /> present staff member in addition to the new counselors . <br /> He added that the value of the program is to have them <br /> in the field and the program is funded by the federal <br /> government on that basis . <br /> MOTION: Councilman Henderson moved, seconded by Council- <br /> man Leipzig, to approve the proposed Annual Budget-- <br /> 1975-1976 for public hearing June 16, 1975 as amended <br /> during the Budget Study sessions of May 10, 17 and 31 <br /> and June 7,1975.
