Rhodes <br /> Adjourned Meeting <br /> The Council of the City of Redwood City met on this date <br /> at 4:00 p.m. in an adjourned meeting from February 3, <br /> 1975, with Mayor Weymouth presiding over a joint meeting <br /> of the City Council and the Planning Commission, for a <br /> discussion of various matters of mutual interest. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Councilmen present : Barrett, Henderson, Leipzig, Norris <br /> (arrived at 4:05 p.m. ) , Rhodes, <br /> Williams and Mayor Weymouth <br /> Councilmen absent : None <br /> Planning Commissioners present : Biagi, Johnson Kelly, <br /> Murphy, Price. . •rived <br /> at 5 :10 p.m. ) Soderer <br /> Planning Commissioners absent : Gonzales <br /> Staff present : City Manager Fales, City Attorney <br /> lbw Schricker, Planning Director Schroeter, Assistant City <br /> Attorney Maloney, Deputy City Clerk Reggetts <br /> Discussion <br /> Mayor Weymouth asked that the Council and Commissioners <br /> proceed to the subjects they wished to discuss and en- <br /> deavor to conclude the discussion by 6:00 p.m. <br /> • Mr. Soderer, Chairman of the Planning Commission, com- <br /> mented that the most important and overriding concerns <br /> of the Commission were the review of the General Plan <br /> revisions, the Commission' s consideration of its role <br /> in the City, and how best to be of assistance to Council <br /> in planning matters. He indicated that a major concern <br /> is the amount of time spent on matters less of a plan- <br /> ning nature but rather matters relating to zoning ad- <br /> ministration. <br /> Planning Director Schroeter distributed to the Council <br /> and Commission a tabulated estimate of the relative <br /> Pm amount of time the Planning Commission spent on various <br /> matters during 1974, determined by the number of times <br /> Mi.. they appeared on Commission agendas. He indicated that <br /> the Commissioners had expressed concern as to the areas <br /> where their time is spent as opposed to those areas <br /> where it was believed it should be spent. He advised <br /> that an evaluation is being made of other cities with <br /> Adj.Mtg. <br /> w/Planning <br /> 2/10/75 <br />
