351 <br /> City publications <br /> City Manager Fales referred to his report of January 3, <br /> 1975 regarding City publications, specifically the <br /> quarterly newsletter mailed to all residents and to a <br /> """ proposed bimonthly newsletter for employees. <br /> MOTION: Councilman Norris moved, seconded by Council- <br /> man Leipzig, that the City Council authorize implemen- <br /> tation of the City Manager' s recommendation contained <br /> in his report of January 3, 1975 regarding City publi- <br /> cations. <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> (MINUTE ORDER NO. 75-2) <br /> Elimination of Reconstruction Project - <br /> Jefferson Avenue/Dover Way to Farm Hill Boulevard <br /> City Manager Fales referred to his report of January 3, <br /> 1975 regarding the subject reconstruction project and <br /> attaching report from the Director of Public Works, <br /> dated November 19, 1974. <br /> Discussion followed concerning the preliminary cost <br /> estimate of $35,000 and increasing construction costs <br /> which result in a final estimate of $70,000; whether <br /> the amount designated for the project should be held <br /> for eventual implementation of the project; whether <br /> the project should compete for priority with others to <br /> be submitted to Council in connection with the 1975-76 <br /> budget; and the alternatives which might exist to im- <br /> prove the traffic situation at the subject site . <br /> In response to question, Director of Public Works Pusich <br /> advised that no accidents have occurred at the subject <br /> site. <br /> MOTION: Councilman Henderson moved, seconded by Council- <br /> man Rhodes, to approve the City Manager' s recommendation <br /> contained in his report of January 3 that advisory curve <br /> and speed signs as necessary be posted to warn vehicle <br /> drivers to reduce speed to 20 m.p.h. , thus improving <br /> traffic safety and permitting the funds budgeted for <br /> the street reconstruction to be used for higher priority <br /> projects. <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> (MINUTE ORDER NO. 75-3) <br /> Proposed arrangement with Woodside <br /> Fire District re automatic response <br /> Iwo <br /> City Manager Fales referred to his report of January 3, <br /> 1975 regarding the subject proposed arrangement and <br /> attaching report from the Fire Chief dated December 9, <br /> 1974 together with associated pertinent materials. <br /> -3- <br /> Reg.Mtg. <br /> 1/6/75 <br />
