Letter from City of Foster City transmitting copies <br /> of Resolution No. 75-20 and of Resolution No. 1044 <br /> of the Estero Municipal Government concerning <br /> assessment practices of the San Mateo County <br /> Assessor (not an Agenda item) . <br /> In response to question, Mayor Weymouth advised <br /> that he has learned the Board of Supervisors is <br /> responding to the requests contained in the sub- <br /> ject resolutions. <br /> Oral Communications <br /> 1. Fred Powers, Peninsula Billiards Supply, 1780 <br /> $roadway, advised that he represents the proprietors <br /> of several businesses in the 1700 block on Broadway <br /> who wish to protest the new red curbing in front of <br /> their establishments. Mr. Powers stated that access <br /> to their shops is limited in any case because they <br /> have only front doors, but that the red curbing has '."" <br /> created delivery and customer problems which will <br /> result in increased costs and loss of customers. <br /> He urged Council to reevaluate the situation and <br /> order the red curbing removed. <br /> Discussion followed and Director of Public Works <br /> Pusich replied to questions and commented concerning <br /> the various problems encountered in connection with <br /> the attempt to improve traffic circulation in the <br /> downtown area. Mr. Pusich advised his department <br /> is making an analysis of the area and is attempting <br /> to solve the problems created by lack of rear access <br /> to some shops. <br /> { Sal Pastore, 1772 Broadway, operator of a dry <br /> cleaners, also commented concerning his problems <br /> in regard to delivery of supplies and inconvience <br /> to customers created by the red zone. <br /> Mayor Weymouth advised that the Director of Public <br /> Works will investigate the situation in an attempt <br /> to improve conditions for the proprietors of businesses <br /> in the 1700 block on Broadway.
