Mr. <br /> Krause suggested the City is losing qualified <br /> personnel because of a low pay scale. <br /> GENERAL <br /> 1. Councilman Britschgi inquired regarding the City's tree trimming policy. <br /> City Manager Fales advised that the matter should be considered in the context <br /> of the Budget study session since service and problems related to street trees <br /> involve the amount of money available and assignments to the Parks and Recreation <br /> and Public Works Departments. <br /> 2. Councilman Britschgi inquired as to the status of the development of a facilities <br /> charge for Redwood Shores. <br /> City Manager Fales advised that the charge is in the process of being formulated <br /> and the amount of the charge will be related to necessary public installations. <br /> 3. Councilman Britschgi asked the status of the Transportation Study. <br /> Director of Public Works Addiego advised that some seven tasks are required and <br /> the sixth was just commenced, stating the Eastside Transportation Network Study <br /> should be ready within about 30 days, noting that the rail access study is <br /> being prepared separately. <br /> City Manager Fales referred to his letter to the Senate and the Assembly re- <br /> lating to the Feasibility Study of the Department of Transportation regarding <br /> the Dumbarton Bridge and asking that the letter be made a part of the Study w <br /> and that the City be given the opportunity to testify at hearings on the <br /> subject. <br /> 4. Councilman Bury referred to the letter from the Community•Theatre asking for <br /> City assistance in obtaining rehearsal space at one of the schools and re- <br /> quested Mayor Biagi to write to the Elementary School District on behalf of <br /> the Theatre group. (Memo 4/7/81) <br /> 5. Vice Mayor Stangel recognized Jim Knecht and Rich Richardson, both winners of <br /> the "Man of the Year" Award in the audience. <br /> Executive Session <br /> M/S: Stangel/Bury to adjourn to executive session for the purpose of considering <br /> litigation and personnel matters and to reconvene solely for the purpose of <br /> adjourning. <br /> Carried unanimously and Council adjourned to executive session at 9:35 p.m. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the City Council adjourned at 11:30 p.m. <br /> JACQUELINE C.
