Traffic Signal Maintenance and Repair
Report of City Manager 5/15/81
Report of Director of Public Works 5/9/81
City Manager Fales noted that his earlier report on
March 9, 1981 had indicated that if only one bid
was received, staff would prepare a bid on behalf
of the City as an alternative, and that is what
liwor occurred. The City's proposal for traffic signal
maintenance will incorporate street light
modification, the loan for which has already been
approved by the State. He reviewed the recommended
actions to be taken at this time, to reject the
contractor's bid and to authorize negotiations with
the contractor to continue the present agreement
until July 1, 1981 which will allow the Council to
fully consider in the budget study sessions the
whole package of traffic signal maintenance as well
as street light modification, and to decide whether
or not to approve that recommendation. He
indicated this could save the City money over a
long period of time.
Title read. M/S: Stangel/Leipzig
RESOLUTION NO. 8850
a.
