Presentation of Plaque for Distinguished Mayor Biagi presented a Plaque for wood f Service to Kay C. Mears, former member of Distinguished Service to Kay C. Mears on <br /> the Civic Cultural Commission behalf of the Council and citizens of the <br /> City, in appreciation for her service to the <br /> community as a Commissioner. <br /> 2. Public Hearing - Proposed revocation of Use Report of City Manager 10/8/81 <br /> Permit for the sale of used furniture and Report of Planning Director 9/21/81 <br /> household items for failure to comply with <br /> conditions of approval from the beginning Mayor Biagi declared open at 7:35 p.m. <br /> and for a continuous period of two years - <br /> Ms. Donna Tozi dba Alfa TV & Radio Service, Copy of notification to permittee dated <br /> 2050 Broadway 9/24/81 and signed return receipt for <br /> Certified Mail reported on file. <br /> Planning Director Schroeter commented and responded to questions by <br /> Council regarding the distinction between antiques and used furniture; <br /> that in either case, a Use Permit is required; that Condition No. 3 <br /> (relating to display of used merchandise) was virtually based on their <br /> own description of how they intended to operate, but that it became <br /> apparent they were not serious about those intentions. <br /> • Discussion continued regarding continuing display of window signs and <br /> posters, the objection by other merchants on Broadway to display of <br /> merchandise on the sidewalk in front of the building and along the side, <br /> as well as doing business out of a trailer in back; that the violations <br /> have persisted over the more than two years that the business has been <br /> in that location. <br /> wag <br /> Reg.Mtg.
