Eberhard, 609 Emerald Hill Road, <br /> signals at Jefferson Avenue/Lakeview Way described the traffic situation at his <br /> five-way intersection intersection at Emerald Hill Road and <br /> Jefferson and asked that some kind of traffic <br /> device be installed there to prevent <br /> automobile drivers from driving on the wrong <br /> side of the road. <br /> L. J. Milbourn, 3902 Jefferson Avenue, who had <br /> presented the subject petition, described the <br /> dangerous circumstances at the subject <br /> intersection, stating that a flashing red <br /> traffic signal is necessary in order to make <br /> automobile drivers stop before proceeding into <br /> the intersection. <br /> Herold Miller, 939 Lakeview Way, confirmed the <br /> statement made by Mr. Milbourn, and endorsed <br /> his request that a flashing red traffic signal <br /> be installed at the intersection. !, <br /> (TAPE RECORDING ENDS) <br /> Nick Chiodios, 3910 Jefferson, also commented <br /> on the potential dangers presented by the <br /> subject intersection, noting that it is <br /> difficult for drivers to see far enough ahead <br /> for the speed at which they usually travel, so <br /> polom it would be desirable to require a stop. <br /> CONSENSUS: Mayor Biagi determined it to be <br /> the consensus of Council to refer the petition <br /> to staff for investigation and report and <br /> asked that Mr. L. J. Milbourn, who represents <br /> the petition signers, be advised when the <br /> report is complete.
