Public Hearing - Appeal of denial by the Planning Commission record transmitted 11/9/81 <br /> Planning Commission of application for a Appeal letter from John Paul Hanna 10/23/81 <br /> Planned Development Permit to allow the <br /> conversion of a 110-unit apartment Mayor Biagi declared open at 7:33 p.m. <br /> building to condominiums, 707 Leahy Street <br /> - Leahy Apartment Associates, appellant Affidavits of Publication of Notice of <br /> Hearing and of Mailing reported on file. <br /> John Hanna, attorney representing the appel- <br /> lants, suggested that the Planning Commission <br /> was in error in denying the subject applica- <br /> tion and that discussion of the housing <br /> balance in Redwood City as reported in the <br /> Planning Commission Minutes was not relevant <br /> to the issue. Mr. Hanna reported on the <br /> results of a poll of tenants regarding their <br /> position on the proposed conversion, indica- <br /> ting that not all tenants oppose it. He <br /> filed statements favoring conversion signed <br /> by 17 tenants. <br /> Terance O'Mahoney, 144 Montgomery Street, San <br /> Francisco, a general partner in Leahy Apart- <br /> ment Associates, referred to his letter of <br /> November 18, 1981 describing sales prices of <br /> units to tenants and the type of financing <br /> which will be available, unless they wish to <br /> obtain their own financing.
