Mayor Biagi reported that several cities in San Mateo County have asked <br /> for Redwood City's support in objecting to the refusal of the Board of <br /> Supervisors to permit consolidation of municipal elections in spite of <br /> the provision of SB 630, recently adopted, which permits cities to <br /> conduct their elections on the same dates as the statewide primary and <br /> el"! general elections in June and November. Mayor Biagi stated that the <br /> Board had not given reasons for their refusal, and the cities object as a <br /> home rule concern and not necessarily because they wish to make the <br /> wirrl change in election dates. <br /> CONSENSUS: Mayor Biagi determined it to be the consensus of Council that <br /> the matter be referred to the Legislative Committee for consideration. <br /> Memo 12/15/81) <br /> Executive Session - M/S: Stangel/Chandler to adjourn to executive session for <br /> the purpose of considering litigation matters and to reconvene solely to adjourn. <br /> Carried unanimously by voice vote and City Council adjourned to Executive Session <br /> at 9:40 p.m. <br /> ADJOURNMENT - Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, Council adjourned at <br /> 10:10 p.m. <br /> JACQUELINE C.
