Vice Mayor Stangel called attention to information received by <br /> Council relating to the recent all-mail election successfully <br /> conducted in the City of San Diego and recommended consideration <br /> be given to a proposed Charter amendment to enable Redwood City <br /> to conduct such an election should the occasion arise in the <br /> future when the City might wish to do so. There being no <br /> objection, Mayor Biagi referred the matter to the Legislative <br /> Committee for consideration and recommendation to Council. <br /> (memo 7/21/81) <br /> 2. City Manager Fales reported that pursuant to the direction by <br /> Council to Mayor Biagi that some Council meetings may be <br /> cancelled in July and August, depending on the prospective <br /> Agendas, that staff is scheduling agenda items so that, if <br /> possible, the meetings for August 3 and August 17, 1981 may be <br /> cancelled. Mayor Biagi determined that Council concurs in the <br /> proposed cancellation of the meetings of August 3 and 17, if <br /> possible to do so. (memo 7/21/81) <br /> 3. There being no objections, Mayor Biagi announced that he has <br /> appointed Vice Mayor Stangel and Councilman Chandler to <br /> represent the City Council on the Joint Committee on Port Area <br /> Jurisdiction.
