ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
Please obtain Speaker's Card from City ^1
Clerk
1. Larry Nichols, 4016-301 Farm Hill Boulevard, representing Farm Hill *wet
Vista Homeowners Association, reported that modifications relating
• to traffic in the 4000 block of Farm Hill in connection with the
development of the convent property by Alpha Land Co. are creating
traffic problems for residents of the area.
City Manager Fales observed that certain changes were required because
of the development, and it would be necessary to consult documents
before any reply can be made.
CONSENSUS: Mayor Biagi determined it to be the consensus of Council to
suggest that Mr. Nichols make an appointment with the City Manager
and/or the Director of Public Works to discuss the situation reported so
that an attempt can be made to solve whatever problems are being
experienced. (memo 7/28/81)
2. Daniel B. Beugelmans, M.D., 292 Edgewood, (see Item 2-Public Hearing
above, pp. 1 to 5) stated he does not understand the result of Council
action with regard to his appeal. Mayor Biagi explained that the
Council denied his appeal by voting to uphold the fence requirements of
the Zoning Ordinance. Mayor Biagi suggested that if he wishes to modify
his application, he might call Planning Director Schroeter for
assistance.
GENERAL
1. Councilman Britschgi commended the Optimist Club for offering $2,000 to
sponsor a Redwood City Band, and reported the Civic Cultural Commission w
is working on doing so. (See Civic Cultural Commission Minutes of July
2, 1981, last page.) (memo 7/28/81)
tore
EXECUTIVE SESSION
M/S: Chandler/Stangel to adjourn to Executive Session to consider
personnel matters; to cancel the regular meeting scheduled for August 3,
1981; and to reconvene solely to adjourn to August 10, 1981.
Carried unanimously by voice vote and Council adjourned to Executive
Session at 9:50 p.m.
ADJOURNMENT
•
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the City Council adjourned
at 11:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday, August 10, 1981 in the Board of
Supervisors Chambers.
JACQUELINE C.HILDEBRAND
City Clerk
Reg.Mtg.
7/27/81 `rA
Page 9
7.
