Public Hearing - Appeal by Wells Fargo Bank Report of City Manager 8/6/81 <br /> of Department of Public Works Notice to Report of Director of Public Works 8/4/81 <br /> repair Sidewalk - 2080, 2088, 2090 Broadway <br /> (continued open from 7/6 and 7/27/81) City Manager Fales advised that a cost sharing <br /> arrangement which has been agreed to by the <br /> City and Wells Fargo Bank representatives will <br /> resolve the problem. <br /> Stephanie Turkington, Wells Fargo Bank, stated <br /> she was present to reply to questions and that <br /> the agreement was acceptable to the Bank. <br /> Mayor Biagi invited anyone else present who <br /> wished to speak to do so. No one wished to <br /> speak. <br /> M/S: Leipzig/Chandler to cose the public <br /> hearing. <br /> Carried unanimously by voice vote and public <br /> hearing closed at 7:40 p.m. <br /> M/S: Chandler/Leipzig to direct staff to <br /> implement the cost sharing proposal as <br /> described in the Report of the Director of <br /> Public Works dated August 4, 1981. <br /> Carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 81-136 <br /> M/S: Leipzig/Stangel to authorize staff to <br /> meet with representatives of the Downtown <br /> Merchants Association to discuss establishment <br /> of a maintenance district. <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 81-137 <br /> 5. Public Hearing - Proposed Annexation of Mayor Biagi declared open 7:42 p.m. <br /> Horgan Ranch property to the City of <br /> Redwood City ( 25.2 acres) (RESOLUTION NO. Affidavits of Publication of Notice of Hearing <br /> 8892, 7/6/81; RESOLUTION NO.8785, 2/9/81) and of Mailing are on file in the office of <br /> the City Clerk. <br /> City Manager Fales reviewed the history relating to the proposed <br /> annexation, observing that the only consideration before Council is <br /> to determine the value of written protests of property owners and <br /> suggesting such action is ministerial at this time. <br /> Robert Harrison, 115 Atherwood, read a letter opposing the <br /> annexation dated August 10, 1981 from residents of his neighborhood <br /> which was distributed to Council just before the meeting.
