Greaa Doran, President, Redwood Shores Homeowners Assocation, referred to the <br /> Financing Plan for Future Public Improvement of GID No. 1-64 prepared by <br /> Bartle Wells Associates and presented at a meeting on October 11, 1980. Mr. mum <br /> Doran said that RSHA is anxious to have the additional material requested to <br /> be provided, and he called Mr. Wells to inquire as to the delay. He reported <br /> that Mr. Wells is sympathetic to Redwood Shores residents and said that his vim <br /> study has been delayed by failure of Redwood Shores, Inc. to provide certain <br /> figures. <br /> Mayor Biagi stated for the record that Bartle Wells is to provide information <br /> in accordance with the written charge to them and for which they are being <br /> paid and that it is their responsibility to advise Council if any information <br /> has been denied to them. Bartle Wells has not done so and Council has no <br /> reason to believe such is the case. <br /> City Manager Fales advised that five lengthy meetings have been held with Mr. <br /> Wells and he did not mention any delay in receiving Wells eedainforrmato n. Mover- <br /> r. <br /> Fales observed that Mr. Doran's remarks suggest be <br /> looking the legal aspects of the situation and that his perspectivsulddbe <br /> limited to the financial information they have been employed to provide <br /> that the legal aspects of the matter will be considered by those qualified <br /> to do so. <br /> City Attorney Schricker suggested that it is not appropriate to discuss re- <br /> ported statements of Mr. Wells in his absence. <br /> Mr. Fales advised again that a report is expected by the end of January. <br /> GENERAL <br /> 1. Councilman Britschgi referred to an item from the January 12, 1981 Peninsula <br /> Times Tribune reporting that newly elected Representative Tom Lantos has <br /> stated that "The notion that you can bring in someone from Redwood City to <br /> work in the House (Washington, D.C.) is terribly naive." Councilman Britschgi <br /> requested Mayor Biagi to advise Congressman Lantos that there are undoubtedly <br /> many persons in Redwood City quite competent to work in Washington, D.C. <br /> Reg.Mtg.
