Mr. Jordan described briefly
the background and work of the Committee in
arriving at the development proposal for the
Senior Center. In response to question, he
advised that there will be wheelchair access to
the buildings; that it is expected that with
good planning and scheduling maximum use can be
made of the building by seniors, veterans and
occasional special groups; that the present
walkway would be extended with plantings being
proposed to provide shelter and protection from
inclement weather; and that while improvement of
the theatre now might be desirable also, the
Committee was guided by priorities relating to
needs of seniors such as nutrition services, the
kitchen and social services.
Reg.Mtg.
6/9/80
