City Manager Fales called attention to the announcement from the League of California Cities regarding the Mayors and Council Members Executive Forum to be held in Monterey, July 23-25, 1980. Mr. Fales advised that the Forum will be conducted as a seminar devoted to major program and policy concerns of local elected officials only and urged Council members to attend, if possible. 3. Pearl Kanitz, 240 Outer Circle, objected to the proposed installation of a ...f stop sign at her address, stating that it is not a corner and that she is unaware of any accidents occuring there during the 31 years she has resided in her home. Mrs. Kanitz presented a map of the subject area. CONSENSUS: Mayor Biagi determined it was the consensus of Council that the matter be referred to staff for investigation with a report to be made to Council with a copy to Mrs. Kanitz. (memo 6/10/80) 4. Mayor Biagi called attention to the letter of June 3, 1980 from the Redwood City School District Board of Education requesting a joint meeting with the City Council. Mayor Biagi advised that he will call Board President Priscilla Mosher and suggest a meeting date in July. (memo 6/10/80) 5. Councilman Britschgi inquired about the result of the Planning Department investigation relating to the naming of "Kulakoff Avenue" in the Woodhill Subdivision. Planning Director Schroeter stated that the record shows that staff recom- mended that all suggested street names be deleted and that the subdivider be requested to submit eight names from among which the Planning Commission could select four for the streets in the Subdivision. Mr. Schroeter noted that the subdivider then requested that the street named "Kulakoff Avenue" remain so designated and no response was made. Mr. Schroeter reported that subsequently the necessary map approvals were given and evidently the Planning Commission did not insist upon naming the streets. In response to question, City Attorney Schricker advised that the street name can be changed in accordance with the appropriate procedure. M/S: Britschgi/Rhodes that the Planning Commission be asked to change the name of the street designated "Kulakoff Avenue" in the Woodhill Subdivision to an appropriate name and report be made to Council. badi Carried by majority voice vote. MINUTE ORDER NO. 80-88 EXECUTIVE SESSION M/S: Leipzig/Britschgi to adjourn to Executive Session to consider litigation matters and to reconvene solely to adjourn. Carried unanimously by voice vote. Councilman Leipzig stated that she will request Council to adjourn in the memory { of Bob Hoskins, a former 49er football player, who has quietly contributed many volunteer hours to young people in the community.
