Norman Chapman The Rev. Chapman Grace Bible Church APPROVAL OF MINUTES - M/S: Leipzig/Stangel to approve the subject Budget Study Session, June 14, 1980 Minutes as submitted. City Council Meeting, June 16, 1980 Carried unanimously by voice vote. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS ORAL COMMUNICATIONS (out of order) In response to request, .and there being no objection, Mayor Biagi stated that Sally Salinas may address the Council under Oral woo Communications at this time. Sally Salinas, 421 Standish, Director, Target Education& Welfare Council Senior Drop-In Center, Middlefield Road, filed letters from Rabbi Herbert D. Teitelbaum, Temple Beth Jacob, and the Chairperson and Coordinator of South County Social Justice Committee, as well as a copy of a letter already sent to Council from Community Forum, all relating to support of the Center's request for funding for 1980-81. Ms. Salinas requested that a study session to evaluate the Center's request for funding be held with City staff, and representatives of the Housing and Human Concerns Committee, the Fair Oaks Advisory Board, and the Senior Citizens Advisory Committee with a report to be made to Council to be reviewed prior to final adoption of the City's 1980-81 Annual Budget. Ms. Salinas stated she believes she may be able to persuade Council to grant the Center's re- quest for funding in the full amount requested. (NOTE: Requested- $27,951; Housing and Human Concerns Committee recommendation - $20,000; Manager recommended and Council approved 6/14/80 - $12,000.)
