Chapman <br /> Grace Bible Church <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES - M/S: Leipzig/Stangel to approve the subject <br /> Budget Study Session, June 14, 1980 Minutes as submitted. <br /> City Council Meeting, June 16, 1980 Carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> ORAL COMMUNICATIONS ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> (out of order) <br /> In response to request, .and there being no <br /> objection, Mayor Biagi stated that Sally <br /> Salinas may address the Council under Oral woo <br /> Communications at this time. <br /> Sally Salinas, 421 Standish, Director, Target <br /> Education& Welfare Council Senior Drop-In <br /> Center, Middlefield Road, filed letters from <br /> Rabbi Herbert D. Teitelbaum, Temple Beth Jacob, <br /> and the Chairperson and Coordinator of South <br /> County Social Justice Committee, as well as a <br /> copy of a letter already sent to Council from <br /> Community Forum, all relating to support of the <br /> Center's request for funding for 1980-81. Ms. <br /> Salinas requested that a study session to <br /> evaluate the Center's request for funding be <br /> held with City staff, and representatives of <br /> the Housing and Human Concerns Committee, the <br /> Fair Oaks Advisory Board, and the Senior <br /> Citizens Advisory Committee with a report to be <br /> made to Council to be reviewed prior to final <br /> adoption of the City's 1980-81 Annual Budget. <br /> Ms. Salinas stated she believes she may be able <br /> to persuade Council to grant the Center's re- <br /> quest for funding in the full amount requested. <br /> (NOTE: Requested- $27,951; Housing and Human <br /> Concerns Committee recommendation - $20,000; <br /> Manager recommended and Council approved <br /> 6/14/80 - $12,000.) <br /> Ms. Salinas introduced members of the audience <br /> from Fair Oaks who support her request. <br /> woe <br /> Reg.Mtg. <br /> 6/23/80 •••••• <br /> _._.^, -...e..r.•- *^ ;_,;; ..;,*,.
