Presentation of Plaques for Distinguished Mayor Rhodes commented concerning Mrs. Page's <br /> Service to Dorothy Page and Philip D. Jones role in setting up the Center and thanked her <br /> for service on the Fair Oaks Community for her service to the community. The Plaque <br /> Center Advisory Board was accepted by Mrs. Page's son in her absence, <br /> Mayor Rhodes presented a Plaque for Distinguished <br /> Service to Philip Jones and thanked him for his <br /> service to the community <br /> 2. Appeal of the denial by Building Official Report of City Manager 2/7/80 <br /> of sign alteration application - Arrow Report of Building Official 2/7/80 <br /> Sign Company and Syufy Enterprises <br /> Chuck Sterne, Arrow Sign Co., 1046 45th Avenue, <br /> Oakland, appellant, asked that Council waive <br /> the setback requirement that his 282 sq. ft. <br /> sign be placed 660 ft. from the roadway. Mr. <br /> Sterne presented photographs and a sketch de- <br /> picting the present sign at the drive-in movie <br /> and the proposed sign. Mr. Sterne stated that <br /> the sign is wihin the size allowed for the <br /> amount of square footage of property, but that <br /> since a certain amount of setback is required <br /> in relation to the size of the sign that the <br /> proposed sign is not permitted near the roadway. <br /> Discussion followed and City Attorney Schricker, <br /> Planning Director Schroeter and Mr. Sterne <br /> Reg.Mtg. <br /> 2/11/80 <br /> NMI <br /> IWO <br />
