(continued) M/S: Bury/Britschgi that Council refer the El <br /> Camino Real Corridor Specific Area Plan back to <br /> the Planning Commission and Planning Department <br /> staff with the request that they review the <br /> comments made by the speakers tonight and that <br /> the Plan be included among the subjects for a <br /> forthcoming joint meeting of the City Council <br /> and the Planning Commission so that this subject <br /> particularly and long range planning generally <br /> can be discussed. <br /> The motion carried on the following roll call <br /> vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmen Britschgi, Bury, Chandler, <br /> Leipzig, Stangel and Mayor Biagi <br /> Noes: Councilman Rhodes <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 80-141 <br /> (Council recessed from 9:55 to 10:00 p.m.) <br /> 1. Public Hearing - Appeal of David J. Mayor Biagi again left his chair. <br /> MacDonald (see above, Page 2) <br /> Vice Mayor Stangel stated that the subject <br /> public hearing remains open and will continue <br /> at this time. <br /> David MacDonald advised that he has had the wrisa <br /> opportunity to read the communications of the <br /> Director of Public Works and Director of <br /> Planning, stating that his concerns appear to <br /> be answered, and he is willing to accept the <br /> condition he was appealing. <br /> City Manager Fales stated for the record that <br /> it will be necessary to exchange correspondence <br /> and documents, but the project can proceed if <br /> Mr. MacDonald is satisfied. <br /> City Attorney Schricker recommended that the <br /> proper procedure is that the appellant be <br /> allowed to withdraw his appeal without prejudice <br /> based on his understanding of the memorandum of <br /> the Director of Public Works, and that the next <br /> step would be an improvement agreement. <br /> Comment was made concerning whether or not de- <br /> velopers should be required to participate in <br /> the cost of installing traffic signals. <br /> Vice Mayor Stangel invited anyone present who <br /> wished to speak to do so.
