i
35 5
AGENDA (continued) ACTION TAKEN (continued)
REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS
Councilman Britschgi, Representative to the
Economic Opportunity Commission for San Mateo
County, reported that the EOC has been having
some financial problems and an internal audit ?.
is being conducted. Councilman Britschgi
advised that the County will request an outside
audit also.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
1. Carol MacAuliffe, 556 Fourth Avenue, member of the Fair Oaks Com-
munity Center Advisory Board advised that she has been present
this evening to represent the Board.
2. Dr. Nancy Jewell Cross, 1902 Palo Alto Way, Menlo Park, referred to
her letter regarding regional bus routes and asked to make a ten-
minute presentation using transparencies. Mayor Biagi advised that
such presentations are not allowed under "Oral Communications",
advising that Council prefers to have written material to study in
advance of scheduling a presentation in order that Council members
may be informed and better able to make judgments on the subject
before them. Mayor Biagi invited Dr. Cross to leave maps or other
information and offered to schedule her presentation for the next
Council meeting. City Clerk Hildebrand reported that at Mayor
Biagi's request, she had so advised Dr. Cross by 'phone on
September 12.
City Manager Fales advised that the San Mateo County Council of
Mayors meeting will be held on September 26, 1980 and suggested
Dr. Cross might make her presentation to that group at that time,
since SamTrans bus routes are of a county wide nature. Dr. Cross
stated that she wishes to bring the expression of Redwood City on
the subject to the next SamTrans meeting on September 24.
lrr.r i
Dr. Cross accepted Mayor Biagi's invitation to have her presenta-
tion scheduled for the next Council meeting on September 22, but
refused to leave maps or other materials at this time.
(memo 9/16/80)
EXECUTIVE SESSION
M/S: Stangel/Chandler to adjourn to executive session for the purpose
of considering personnel matters and to reconvene solely to adjourn.
Carried unanimously by voice vote.
