Letter from Cameron Wong, 562 Scott Avenue Report of Director of Parks and Recreation <br /> re damage to City tree 9/30/80 <br /> Director Griffiths referred to his report which <br /> included reports by the Park Superintendent and <br /> • Police Department, and advised that the Wongs <br /> have been billed twice, including a final <br /> notice, for recovery of damages to the City <br /> tree and that efforts by City staff to contact <br /> wool <br /> them on at least two occasions were unsuccess- <br /> ful. <br /> Brief discussion followed regarding action "`rd <br /> taken by staff and the appropriateness of <br /> pursuing collection of damages. <br /> M/S: Bury/Rhodes to refer the matter of <br /> recovery of damages to the City tree by <br /> Cameron Wong, 562 Scott Avenue, to staff. <br /> Carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 80-162 <br /> ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> 1. Zuma Francis, 1138 Madison, reported a problem in that neighborhood regarding dogs <br /> barking late at night, that a complaint form had been furnished to her by the City <br /> but that it is not possible for her to locate and identify the dog owner. She was <br /> advised of recent further reduction in manpower and services of the Humane Society <br /> due to budget cuts. Mrs. Francis also commented on the current extremely high <br /> rents in the area. <br /> Mrs. Francis also expressed concern that the Senior Drop-In Center might be replaced <br /> by the new center on Madison Avenue. She was assured that there were no plans at <br /> present to discontinue the existing Senior Drop-In Center; that there appears to <br /> be a need for the present facility and the one to be built to serve senior citizens <br /> in all parts of the City, and that the Senior Advisory Committee has been assigned <br /> to study ways in which the centers can serve the needs of senior citizens. <br /> Reg.Mtg. <br /> 10/6/80 <br /> Page 3 <br /> r.0 <br /> 2e,J <br />
