Chard, .e& 401 MARSHALL STREET <br /> Matcguen i to Leipzig December 15, 1980 <br /> Bd,P2 Rhode's <br /> Adjourned Meeting <br /> woo <br /> The Council of the City of Redwood City met on this date at 7:30 p.m. <br /> as the Board of Equalization of General Improvement District No. 1-64 <br /> with Mayor Biagi presiding. <br /> Directors present: Britschgi , Bury, Chandler, Leipzig, Rhodes, Stangel <br /> and Mayor Biagi <br /> Directors absent: None <br /> Officials and staff present: City Manager Fales, Assistant Director <br /> of Finance Becker, City Clerk Hildebrand <br /> HEARING - ASSESSMENT APPEALS (continued) <br /> Mayor Biagi observed that the hearing was continued open from December 8, <br /> 1980 pending receipt of written statements from the two appellants <br /> Harold P. Johnson, Jr. and Herbert Clough, Dr. Johnson having indicated <br /> orally he was satisfied with the recommended assessment reduction and <br /> Mr. Clough having asked to have his appeal withdrawn. <br /> City Manager Fales called attention to the letter of stipulation from <br /> District Assessor Ference to Dr. Johnson, dated December 12, 1980, which 014' <br /> is signed by Dr. Johnson confirming that he is satisfied with the pro- <br /> posed reduction. Dr. Johnson's signature having been obtained, the <br /> stipulated adjustment may be made effective. <br /> In response to Mayor Biagi 's statement that no letter has been received <br /> from Mr. Clough withdrawing his appeal , City Manager Fales suggested <br /> that the Board may deny the appeal in any case. <br /> MOTION: Stangel/Chandler to accept the letter of stipulation signed <br /> by Harold P. Johnson, Jr. and to reduce the assessment as recommended <br /> by the District Assessor from a total of $156,000 to $146,000 on Parcel <br /> No. 95-181-270; and to deny the appeal of Herbert Clough, owner of <br /> Parcel No. 95-100-660. <br /> Carried unanimously by voice vote. MINUTE ORDER NO. 80-205 <br /> (NOTE: See Minutes of 7/21/80 - Assessment Roll 1980-81 declared <br /> equalized subject to any changes which may be made by the Board following <br /> close of appeal period ending September 15, 1980. ) <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> MOTION: Rhodes/Britschgi to adjourn.
