167 <br /> ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> 1. Leslie C. Vickery, 980 Third Avenue, read his letter of December 26, 1979 to <br /> the Water Department requesting termination of certain garbage service. Mr. <br /> Vickery described his attempts to have the garbage service terminated, stating <br /> he received no reply to his letter. <br /> City Manager Fales advised Mr. Vicery to contact the San Mateo County Health <br /> Officer who operates under contract with the City to examine Mr. Vickery's <br /> premises and to determine, after appropriate inspection, whether garbage <br /> service to his residence may be terminated. If the Health Officer recommends <br /> that Mr. Vickery's request be granted, then Mr. Vickery should present the <br /> official report of the Health Officer to the Water Department and his service <br /> may be terminated. Mr. Fales further advised that if any refund is sought, <br /> then appeal for the refund should be made separately after the Health Officer <br /> has granted the request for termination of garbage service. <br /> (Memo 2/26/80) <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the City Council adjourned at 8:50 p.m. <br /> JACQUELINE C.
