06/07/2004 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14591 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AMENDING THE STRATEGIC GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY TO AMEND THE GENERAL PLAN DESIGNATION OF <br />PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE PENINSULA MARINA, AS FURTHER <br />DESCRIBED IN THIS RESOLUTION, FROM COMMERCIAL /OFFICE — <br />OFFICE PARK ORIENTED USE TO MIXED USE (COMMERCIAL AND <br />RESIDENTIAL); TO AMEND THE GENERAL PLAN DESIGNATION OF <br />PROPERTY LOCATED AT BAIR ISLAND ROAD SITE, AS FURTHER <br />DESCRIBED IN THIS RESOLUTION, FROM COMMERCIAL /OFFICE — <br />OFFICE PARK ORIENTED USE TO MIXED USE (COMMERCIAL AND <br />RESIDENTIAL); AND TO PERMIT INCREASES IN NET SITE DENSITY <br />BASED ON THE DENSITY PROVISIONS OF A PARTICULAR PRECISE <br />PLAN <br />WHEREAS, after a duly noticed public hearing on April 20, 2004, the Planning <br />Commission of the City of Redwood City (the "Commission ") recommended to the City <br />Council, an amendment of the Strategic General Plan of the City of Redwood City (the <br />"General Plan ") to amend the General Plan designation of property located at the <br />Peninsula Marina, as further described in this resolution, from commercial /office - office <br />park oriented use to mixed use (commercial and residential); and <br />WHEREAS, at the same public hearing, the Commission recommended to the <br />City Council, an amendment of the General Plan to amend the General Plan <br />designation of property at Bair Island Road, as further described in this resolution, from <br />commercial /office — office park oriented use to mixed use (commercial and residential); <br />and <br />WHEREAS, at the same public hearing, the Commission recommended to the <br />City Council, an amendment of the General Plan to permit increases in net site density <br />based on the density provisions of a particular precise plan; and <br />Atty /Reso /Reso.1453 14591 <br />051904 /DB /cls Muff # 304 Bin 26 <br />
