03/23/2015
Morton Community Center is a "facility ground lease" as that term is defined in
Government Code Section 4217.11(h).
Section 6. Over the 20-year expected life span, the total cost of power
purchased from CEI Solar One, LLC produced by the solar arrays at the Red Morton
Community Center will cost approximately $100,000 less than the anticipated cost of
electricity that would have been consumed by the facility in the absence of these
systems.
Section 7. The difference befinreen the fair rental value of the grant of access
right at the Red Morton Community Center for CEI Solar One, LLC to construct,
maintain and operate the solar array system and the agreed rent is anticipated to be
offset by below-market energy purchases and other benefits provided to the City
under the energy service contract.
Section 8. The terms of the contract with CEI Solar One, LLC for the sale of
solar energy produced by the solar arrays located at Red Morton Community Center
are in the best interest of the City of Redwood City.
Section 9. The project is statutorily exempt from the provisions of CEQA
pursuant to California Public Resources Code Section 21080.35, and is further
categorically exempt from the provisions of CEQA per Sections 15301 and 15303 of
Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations
Section 10. The City Manager is authorized to execute the Power Purchase
Agreement with CEI Solar One, LLC.
Section 11. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 24T" day of March, 2015.
*  *
ATTY/RES0.3054/CC RE50 APPROVING CONTRACT FOR PPA RESO.#15396
REV:03-20-15 MLG MUFF#304
