7.1.B. - Page 6 <br /> WHEREAS, such agreements are authorized and provided for by Section <br /> 51300, et seq. of the California Government Code and under the Parties <br /> respective police powers. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AGREED BY THE PARTIES <br /> HERETO AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. Exhibits and Attachments <br /> The following exhibits are attached to this Agreement and incorporated into this <br /> Agreement by this reference: <br /> Exhibit A— Contract Areas <br /> Exhibit B— Proportionate Share of Cost <br /> Exhibit C –Animal Control Contractor Responsibilities <br /> Exhibit D –Animal Licensing Contractor Responsibilities <br /> Attachment 1 – Agreement between County of San Mateo and the Peninsula <br /> Humane Society & SPCA <br /> 2. Definitions <br /> 2.1 Administrative Costs: The actual costs, including, but not limited to, <br /> salaries, benefits, dispatch, equipment maintenance, incurred by the <br /> County to administer the Animal Control Program and Animal Licensing <br /> Program as outlined in this Agreement in an effort to facilitate a <br /> coordinated countywide system. <br /> 2.2 Animal Control Contractor: The contractor selected as set forth in <br /> Section 5.2 of this Agreement, which is specifically charged with <br /> regulating and enforcing laws dealing with animal care and control, <br /> shelter services and animal licensing within the territorial limits of the <br /> County and the Cities and pursuant to the terms of this Agreement. <br /> 2.3 Animal Control Program: The program within the Health System of the <br /> County, or County's designated contract agent, or both, or such other <br /> agency as the County of San Mateo Board of Supervisors may designate, <br /> which is specifically charged with regulating and enforcing laws dealing <br /> with animal control within the territorial limits of the County. <br /> 2.4 Animal Control Services Agreement or Services Agreement: Agreement <br /> in which the Animal Control Contractor agrees to perform on behalf of <br /> Parties and the County agrees to compensate, using County and City <br /> funds, the Animal Control Contractor for performance of certain specified <br /> animal care, animal control, and shelter services as provided for in this <br /> Agreement. <br /> 2IPage February 5 , 2015 <br /> ATTY/AGR/2015.057/SAN MATEO COUNTY-ANIMAL CONTROL SERVICES <br />
