5. Instructions to Contractors 5.1. Examination of Bid Documents The submission of a Bid shall be deemed a representation and certification by the Contractor that they: • Have carefuily read and fully understand the information that was provided by the City to serve as the basis for the submitted Bid. • Have the capability to successfully undertake and complete the responsibilities and obligations of the submitted Bid. • Represent that all information contained in their submitted Bid is true and correct. • Did not, in any way, coNude;conspire to agree, directly or indirectly, with any person,firm, corporation or other Cantractor in regard to the amount,terms or conditions of the submitted Bid. • Acknowledge that the City has the right to make any inquiry it deems appropriate to substantiate or suppiement information supplied by Contractor, and Contractor hereby grants the City permission to make these inquiries, and to provide any and all related documentation in a timely manner. No request for modification of the submitted Bid shall be considered after its submission on grounds that Contractor was not fully informed to any fact ar condition. 5.2. Submission of Bids Bids are due on or before Wednesdav, November 5. 2014 bv 3•30pm at which time they will be recorded and forwarded to a Selection Advisory Committee for evaluation. Bids wiN not be opened and read aloud. Bids must be sealed and sent to: City of Redwood City Clerks Department 1017 Middlefield Road Redwood City, CA 94063 The Contractor shall submit one (1) original and two (2) copies of its Bid in a sealed envelope, addressed as noted above, bearing the Contractor's name and address clearly marked, "NIB for Uniform Rental/Laundry Services."
