AUG () 5 .1 <br /> RESOLUTION ALM-93-4 <br /> ADVANCED LOCAL MATCH REQUEST CALIFORNIA <br /> Redwood City TRANSPORT*TIONCOMt.CS5KC <br /> 1 .1 WHEREAS, the Legislature passed SB 2800 (Chapter 993, Statutes of-A. <br /> GREEMENT Na . <br /> 1990) which permits a local agency to request authorization from FT <br /> the California Transportation Commission (Commission) to make ATTACHMENT IIa <br /> advance expenditures of local funds for specified projects; and <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> 1 .2 w!EREAS, the Commission adopted Resolution. G-91-11 as the governing <br /> policy to enable local agencies to request Commission approval of <br /> advanced expenditure of local funds to be counted toward required <br /> local match for subsequent State funding; and <br /> 1.3 WHEREAS, the Project identified on Attachment A has been s::bm!Lted to <br /> the Commission for advance expenditure approval and is programmed for <br /> a total. of $5, 500, 000 in the 1993-94 fiscal year for funds to be <br /> determined; and <br /> 1 .4 WHEREAS, Redwood City (the Recipient) has certified that all <br /> information submitted to the Department of Transportation <br /> (Department) pertaining to the project is accurate and correctly <br /> represented; and <br /> 1 .5 WHEREAS, the Recipient has indicated it has sufficient local funds to <br /> complete the project, as identified in Attachment A, in the event <br /> that future State funding is not available; and <br /> ( 1.6 WHEREAS, the Recipient has met all of the conditions set forth in <br /> Resolution G-91-11. <br /> 2.1 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Commission hereby approves the <br /> requests by the Recipient to expend up to a total of $5,500, 000 of <br /> local funds intended as a future match to 1993-94 funds to be <br /> determined, as identified in Attachment A, to be used toward the <br /> local match requirement for the project; and <br /> 2.2 NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Commission's <br /> approval is subject to the terms and conditions contained in <br /> Commission Resolution G-91-11 and Chapter 993, Statutes of 1990; <br /> and <br /> 2.3 NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Recipient shall <br /> execute a Credit for Local Match Agreement with the Department and <br /> shall comply with the State statutes, regulations and guidelines • <br /> administered by the Department, or delegated to the Department by <br /> the Commission, in documenting its advance local match expenditures <br /> so that the local match activities can be subsequently identified <br /> and audited by the Department; and <br /> 2.4 NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Commission approval of an <br /> advance expenditure request does not constitute an obligation to <br /> allocate the referenced state funds or any other state funds to the <br /> project; and <br /> 2 .5 NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Commission approval of an <br /> advance expenditure request does not represent an exemption from <br /> timely use of funds in accordance with Resolutions G-88-6 or G-90- <br /> 11 . <br /> • <br /> TUTi:iL P.02 <br />
